2 more sleeps

Tonight before bed Maddy told us that she had two more sleeps until her birthday. Then she said, "And when I wake up tomorrow I can say I have one more sleep." Someone is excited for her birthday!

First Cut for Brods

Before the cut...
Loving eachother

Sis waiting patiently reading books. She is such a sweet girl!

Getting started and he loves it!

He was very focused on cartoons.

Handsome!

Look at me now!

Had to get a picture in front of the rocket since I have one there of Mad
too when she got her first cut!
Playing outside with the leaves.

Bro got the haircut but Maddy got the sucker for being good while waiting.

The time came for Brody to get his first haircut. It is funny how with Maddy I wanted her hair to grow long and she didn't get her first trim until two and a half years old and Brody was ready for one now at 14 months. The thing I love about little boys is their spiky haircuts. I couldn't wait to get Brody's cut just like that. His hair is fine so I wasn't sure it would work, but then two days ago Mike and I realized that his hair had grown long in just a short time. Brody loved getting his haircut. He sat in the plane and watched the video. He didn't care at all that a lady was cutting his hair. This is pretty much his personality- so mellow (well, sometimes). The lady who cut his hair kept commenting on how cute he was and she was going to take pictures of him herself. It was pretty funny. Sissy was a great big sister waiting patiently for him and reading books. I am so excited to spike his hair now! He is looking pretty cute!

Mammoth Mountain with my valentine

Last weekend Mike and I went to Mammoth with some friends during Valentine's Day! It was our ninth Valentine's Day together! I was so excited to go snowboarding, although apprehensive at the same time. I did really good. Mike is awesome! He makes it look so easy. Being paranoid and nervous like I am, I thought it was best to wear a helmet, especially since I haven't boarded since before being pregnant with Mad. I felt much more comfortable this time around. I still hate those chairlifts though. I would prefer to fall off and crawl away quickly before getting hit by the lift behind me. :) On Valentine's morning, Mike had booked a massage for me at Snow Creek Spa and Resort. It was amazing! It was the best gift after a long day of snowboarding. He got points for that! The kids had a fun weekend with Grandma and Grandpa and then with Gamma and Poppy. Thanks for watching them guys! We love you!

Beautiful day on Mammoth Mountain. It was warm and clear!

My hot boarder!

A picture on the lift. LOVE!

Danielle, Kim and I taking a break after doing three or four runs in a row.

Some action shots. Mike can board and take pictures at the same time. I can't. I have to have full concentration on my balance. At one point he had gone down a different run and was calling my cell phone. For a second I was about to answer and then I thought, who am I kidding? I can't talk on the phone while snowboarding.

Steve (Mike's brother), Alec and Mike- These three are the best boarders! Took the Cornice like it was nothing.

A view from the top of Mammoth Mountain- 11,000 feet up. This was right before the guys rode the black diamond down the mountain and I rode the gondola back down the mountain. :)

Such a beautiful day!

You have to get a shot in front of the Mammoth.

Um....cute picture boys!

Steve doing his ad for Mammoth. If you know Steve- this shot is hilarious!

Goodbye Mammoth! It was a great weekend. Time to go see our kiddos!

On the long road home...

Hope your V Day was extra happy this year!

31-oh so fun!

I turned 31 at the beginning of the month (4th) and celebrated with my family! We had a yummy dinner at Roman Cucina and I got lots of love from my babes. It was fun to be with my parents, Bri (Geoff was working), Grey, hubby and kids. The next night the girls took me out for martinis! I feel so blessed to have such great friends. When I think back on my life and where I am now at 31, I couldn't be happier. I have an AMAZING family, fabulous and kind friends, a giving, sweet, hot hubby, and two amazing, entertaining, beautiful children. I think my 30's are going to be the best years yet!

My amazing little family!

RIP Pink and Black Blanks

Tonight was a sad night in our house- literally our house could have burned down. Thank God, everything was okay. Maddy loves to throw things up in the air and catch them, which she is really good at. Well, tonight I had the stove on cooking and she was walking around the house and came in the kitchen. She threw her beloved pink and black "blanks" as we call it up in the air. Everyone who knows us knows how much she LOVES her blanks. It landed on the counter and I said, "Oh Mad, don't do that the stove is on and there is a fire right here...be careful." Two seconds later- it happened again. I am not sure if it was an accident or if she did it on purpose...regardless- I screamed "MIKE!" (of course), he looks at the kids to see if they are okay (he has no idea why I am screaming) and the he sees it - blankie on fire!!!!!! I think I grabbed it at the same time he did. My screaming as well as Maddy setting eyes on her blanket melting... sent her into hysterics!!! We calmed her down and all she could say was "my blankie, my blankie"- press repeat right here. I have another in case of emergencies. It is brown and baby pink and thank goodness she loves it!!! She thinks it is so soft and pretty. Mike and I made a BIG deal about how great this one is because she is basically traumatized by the sight of her blanks. She didn't want to touch it. She barely looked at it. She wanted me to hold her after it happened. I think we are all okay now and I could bet you she won't be throwing anything up in the air in the kitchen again- EVER!

The happy girl with her new blanks!

Loving on the cozy blanky!

The burnt blanks!!! It was crispy and smelled like fire. :(

Brods wanted in on the camera action too! Love those blue eyes!
