The spread

My parents recently moved and have an amazing view from the top overlooking the Saddleback Mountains- aka the City View :). We had a yummy BBQ dinner on Monday night to enjoy and celebrate the beginning of Daylight Savings. We ate, laughed, played ball and oh yeah, fell. Well, the kids did but they had fun doing it! Brody got his first skinned knee. We love living close to family and getting together a lot!

The happiest place on Earth

Mike and I have been wanting to take the kids to Disneyland for awhile now and finally did!! Saturday was perfect for D Land. It wasn't too hot - just perfect. We got there early. Thanks to a friend we were able to get in for free and got Park Hopper tickets. So we started our adventure at California Adventure. Right when we walked in Maddy spotted Minnie. She was ecstatic!! We did all the things there that we have wanted to do. The Toy Story ride was by far a big hit by all the Shwams- Brody loved it too. I tried pretty hard to keep his glasses on while in the ride. He wanted to play with them. We pretty much had Bug's Land to ourselves and Maddy and Brody were able to walk around. Imagine that! By the time we got to Disneyland it was getting crowded. We did Small World and saw the princesses! All in all a great day and these two pumpkins were the happiest kids on Earth!!

A little lady and six boys

Last night Vanessa had Amy, Erin and myself over for dinner along with our babes---all 7 kids, and 4 mommies! Mad is constantly surrounded by boys! She can hold her own though and loves it. :) We had a fun playdate and yummy food. Thanks for having us over V!

A welcome hug and a future wedding slideshow picture :).

These two boys and their food- you don't want to mess with them..haha.

We have a picture like this when the kids were younger..see the bottom of the post.

My lil (big) man

Brody keeps getting bigger and funnier everyday. His favorite word is "ball" and he says it about everything. If we ask him what my name is, "ball" is his answer. Sometimes we get a mama. If we ask him who daddy is, "ball" and sometimes a dada. He is so funny and keeps us laughing. Tonight he sat on the couch with Mike for two minutes...count them TWO...that is a long time for our guy to sit still and watched basketball and kept saying "bahket ball". Besides the fact that he stresses me out from how many times he hits his head...for no reason. He is an amazing walker/runner and has been since 11 months but if he doesn't get his way...he flails. That is what we call it. He literally throws his head back and has a tantrum...no matter where he is. If we aren't there to catch him from behind he will hit his head on everything. And the fact that he SHOVES food down. I mean you would think he is eating for a gold medal or something. He can't get it in his mouth fast enough. So I am constantly on my toes with this guy. Maddy is my little helper too. She will say "mommy- he put the whole cracker in his mouth." Oh, fabulous! I am loving my lil(big) guy!!!

Livin' on a prayer

Last weekend was the most amazing Girl's Night Out aka Mom's Night Out! We went to the Honda Center to see Bon Jovi! It was AMAZING! There were nine of us and seven of us were moms... so good to just let loose and dance the night away with friends.

Amy, Vanessa, me and Erin...just like the good old days in SB!

V and I ready to get our dancing on!

Me and Bird having fun in the limo!
