weekend in the city

we just returned from a fabulous, fun-filled, beautiful weekend in san francisco. the city is amazing! people are bustling about, the wind is blowing and you can feel the energy. we could not have asked for a more perfect weekend to be there-the weather was AMAZING and there was something exciting to celebrate! on friday night we were still home and gathered at my parents' house where we got a phone call from alyssa that she had just said "YES!!!" casey popped the question and had a fun night planned for them. we were already heading there the next morning to take maddy on a special trip to see where auntie lou and uncle casey live. brody got to stay with gamma and poppi and get them all to himself. since we were only there for 24 hours, we left busy boy at home and he had a great time!  we did too- the trip was so fun! we did A LOT on saturday. we did everything that maddy wanted to do in her san francisco book. we saw the sea lions, went to the pier, picnic at palace of fine arts, chocolate factory, dinner and ride on the trolley cars. maddy went to bed and we stayed up to play a fun game of scene it. did you know that bruce lee was in the brady bunch? just ask alyssa and mike. :) we ended our trip the next morning with a yummy breakfast and mimosas at polkers! it was a great trip and maddy already wants to go back!
