Remembering GG
Five years ago today my fabulous, giving, sweet, loving great grandma, GG passed away. She had just made it to Mike and my wedding the month before. I am so grateful that she was able to hold on and watch me get married. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Madalyn is named after her because of the impact she made on my life. She always made the best pasta at Christmas, which Nana has since taken over on. Today I am remembering my GG with a happy heart!

Imagination Machine
Dear Maddy Girl,
Your imagination these days is amazing! Today you told me that I am your fairy Godmother (so sweet)! You love to play dress-up and can't wait to be Cinderella for Halloween. I love when you play with your babies and read books to them. It makes me smile so wide to see you having so much fun. You are a beautiful princess my little angel girl!
Love you!
Mommy
3/4 of a year old!
Dear Brody Boy,
I can't believe that you are 9 months old. Everyday I love you more and more. You make me laugh everyday with the silly things you do. This month you started crawling and also pull up on everything. You crack up when Maddy does silly things to you. You also wave to anything and everything you see. You love to eat puffs and can't eat your food fast enough. It makes me laugh when you start shaking and moving anytime I sing a song. You have the sweetest disposition and I wonder if it will stay like this forever (I think so). It melts my heart when you snuggle under my chin after your bedtime bottle. Your slobbery kisses are endless and those baby blues just kill me. We can't believe you are 3 months away from being a year old Bro Bro! We love you to the moon and back!
XOXO,
Mommy

Magic Eraser = Magic
Last weekend Grey stayed with us for the night. He came Sat. morning until Sunday. While Maddy and Grey were waiting for Mike to get home, they went to hide. They wanted to scare him when he got home. I told them that he was close (he was about 5 minutes away). I realize that 5 minutes feels like a lifetime to two year olds, but they were doing a great job staying quiet. I went to check on them a few times and they were sitting so quiet next to Brody's crib just waiting for Daddy (Uncle Mike) to get home. After a couple of minutes I had this weird feeling that something must be going on because it was much too quiet. OF COURSE something was going on- they were decorating the wall. Good thing that Magic Eraser works so well. You would never know that crayon had even been there!

Goodnight Moon
Maddy and I read many books every night before bed. She usually picks out ten and Daddy and I narrow it down to each of us reading two (or three). Our favorite is one that my Nana used to read to me all the time, Goodnight Moon. Tonight when getting ready for bed, Maddy asked me where the moon's house is so he can go to sleep. I think it is so cute how her little mind works. She knows that we all sleep in beds, so the moon must too. Goodnight Moon!

He's a mover and a shaker
Brody is a crawler (if you count army crawling)!! He is all over the place these days. Maddy never crawled the way that Brody does, but Greyson did and so did some friends' boys. I don't know if it is a boy thing or what- but it is pretty funny. He can get anywhere and fast by moving around with his elbows. He still isn't on all fours, but he is mobile. He is also a little dancer these days. No matter what type of music comes on, Brody is rocking back and forth. We do dance a lot over here, because Mad loves it so much, so it was bound to happen. It is pretty funny to watch him dance. We are having so much fun with our Brody boy!
He is able to get all of Maddy's toys now too. Here he is playing with the puzzle and very proud of himself.

SMILE!
Maddy went to the dentist today for the first time. We are very good about brushing her teeth every night. I am proud to say that her teeth look great and so do her gums. She practiced on the way there how she would open her mouth to show Dr. Shannon her pretty teeth. Of course when we there and he walked in, she was a little nervous. She did great though. She got to brush the alligator's teeth and pick a prize from the prize box. I told her that when I was a little girl there were not flat screen televisions on the ceiling to watch Little Einsteins while getting her teeth checked. It was very cool!
Excited to be at the dentist's office.
Not too sure when Dr. Shannon walks in.
Brody watched the whole thing from his stroller. Such a good boy!
