Birthday Dinner

The night before Maddy's birthday we had a birthday dinner celebration for her. My parents, Bri, Geoff and Grey came over. We had yummy enchiladas, played, and enjoyed ice cream cones to celebrate Maddy's birthday. It was a fun night!

Our sweet girl

Dear Madalyn,

Today is your third birthday! Happy Birthday my sweet girl! I cannot believe it. Three years ago you made me a mommy! I remember the feelings that I felt that day. I couldn't wait to meet you and see what you looked like. I couldn't wait to hold you and I remember wondering what you would be like when you grew up. Now here you are - growing up before my eyes and you are more than I could have ever imagined. You are more beautiful everyday. You are smart and kind! You don't like it when others are sad. You ask questions daily and don't forget the answers. You have a sense of humor that makes me laugh daily. I look forward to our girly times when we get to have pedicures, play with your dolls and dress them up. I love it when you ask me to sit and talk with you. Those are the best times of my day. I am enjoying every single second of being your mommy. Thank you for giving me that job and for choosing Daddy and I to be your parents! We love you so much! Happy Birthday Maddy Girl!!

Love,
Mommy

It's a Jungle...

...on your birthday!! We started the morning off with presents from the family! Maddy got a Dora doll from Brody and a special Dora pop-up book and bead making set from Mommy and Daddy. She was pretty excited!

...then we had to finish making the cupcakes. The party the night before made me too tired to complete my duties that night. :)

How old are you today Maddy?

And we are off to Scooter's...
These two kids were excited to spot their Grandma and Gamma out in the parking lot...

Getting all of the rules before the fun begins!

Maddy spent her time playing air hockey...

ziplining...

eating with friends...

...hanging out with her Auntie Lou

but, mostly...she spent her time going down this slide about 30 times!

Picture time with the gang! Even Brods got in there!

The princess getting ready to blow out her 3 candles on her monkey cupcake!

Our family! Hard to believe three years ago it was just Mike and I and now we are blessed with these two beautiful babes!

Someone enjoyed his sister's cupcakes!

The birthday girl looking VERY happy!

Brody loved the slide too!

And once we were home a little birthday girl was very excited (hands up) to open her gifts...

...although, she is the best gift of all!

I heart her!!

Rocking out with her new guitar! Can you stand it? Tongue and all.

And a final birthday treat! Pedicure with Mommy and Auntie Lou!

Today is Maddy's 3rd birthday!! I can't believe that my little girl is three years old. She has been talking about her party at Scooter's Jungle for the past month now. She has been counting down the sleeps until it is here- and now it is!! What a fun morning we had! Her party was a blast! She couldn't wait to go on the bounce house, big slides and zip line. We had our own room with lots of toys, slides, etc. and then connected to it is the eating room. We had breakfast and bouncing! Bagels, fruit and juice, and of course cupcakes! She had a great time with all of her friends and family. She LOVED playing with her friend Ashley, and wanted to be everywhere that Ashley was. I couldn't have been happier today to see the smile on her face. She was beaming!! Happy 3rd birthday my little love! I hope your day was amazing!!

Tonight before bed Maddy told us that she had two more sleeps until her birthday. Then she said, "And when I wake up tomorrow I can say I have one more sleep." Someone is excited for her birthday!

First Cut for Brods

Before the cut...
Loving eachother

Sis waiting patiently reading books. She is such a sweet girl!

Getting started and he loves it!

He was very focused on cartoons.

Handsome!

Look at me now!

Had to get a picture in front of the rocket since I have one there of Mad
too when she got her first cut!
Playing outside with the leaves.

Bro got the haircut but Maddy got the sucker for being good while waiting.

The time came for Brody to get his first haircut. It is funny how with Maddy I wanted her hair to grow long and she didn't get her first trim until two and a half years old and Brody was ready for one now at 14 months. The thing I love about little boys is their spiky haircuts. I couldn't wait to get Brody's cut just like that. His hair is fine so I wasn't sure it would work, but then two days ago Mike and I realized that his hair had grown long in just a short time. Brody loved getting his haircut. He sat in the plane and watched the video. He didn't care at all that a lady was cutting his hair. This is pretty much his personality- so mellow (well, sometimes). The lady who cut his hair kept commenting on how cute he was and she was going to take pictures of him herself. It was pretty funny. Sissy was a great big sister waiting patiently for him and reading books. I am so excited to spike his hair now! He is looking pretty cute!
