ALOHA!!!

We are off....to paradise!!!

Beauty Salon

Maddy has been really interested lately in my painted toenails, so I told her I would paint hers for Hawaii. WOW! I didn't realize how hard it would be to give a two year old a mani/pedi. Just when I thought they were dry or she would sit still, she would move or touch something. I ended up repainting her big toes about 4 times. We had some good laughs though and she feels like a big girl. It was pretty cute!

6 months old

Happy 6 month old birthday Brodster! We love you so much. You have added so much joy to our family. You are so mellow and happy. You love your sister and you think she is so funny. You love sweet potatoes and get really excited when you see your bottle. You are sitting by yourself and roll everywhere! We call you a rolly polly! You smile lots and cry little. We can't imagine not having you in our family. It feels like you have been a part of it forever. We can't wait to see the milestones you reach in the next 6 months!

Cuteness

Today we did a photo shoot in the chair. They were both being so goofy and loving eachother. I LOVE how much they LOVE eachother. Brody is at such a fun age, where Maddy is finally able to interact with him. It is so cute to watch.

Going to Sea World on Grey's 1st birthday!

Christmas cookie making- 6 days before Brody was born.

Today is our nephew's birthday. Greyson is two years old today!! Maddy and Grey have grown up together because they are only 4 months apart. Brody and Grey are 18 months apart so when Brods gets bigger, it will be fun to have two little guys running around. We love you Grey! Have a great day! See you at the park tomorrow!

Madoh

We have been doing A LOT of this lately...

Maddy calls it "Madoh" for fun. She knows it is called Playdoh but when she is really excited, she says "Daddy, I want to do Madoh". It is so funny! We have been making snakes, crabs, balls, and Greyson. I don't know how she creates her cousin, but she does. She just puts all the colors together and says it is Grey. I am up to my eyeballs in Madoh and loving it!

Father's Day Fun!

We had a great Father's Day weekend. It all started on Saturday when my dad, Mike, and Geoff played in the traditional Father's Day tournament at SACC. My sisters and I practically grew up at the club and were there every Father's Day, while my dad ran the tournament. It is fun now for our kids to be there for the barbeque after the tournament. This year was a little different with music and a dancefloor. Maddy and Greyson were really into the dancing. And so were my Nana and Papa. On Sunday morning, we went to a new breakfast place in Ladera, called Corky's. It was fun- just the four of us. It is still crazy when Mike and I look around and see these two little people that we created. They had yummy food, although I still think that OPH has better pancakes. Then we went on a great walk around the lake, and stopped at the park, of course. Later that afternoon we met my mom and dad at Montage Beach for a picnic. Bri and Geoff were with Geoff's family. And of course, San Fran is lucky to have Auntie Lou and Case. It was a great weekend! Thanks babe for being an amazing daddy- hope you had a good day!

time and don't care anymore if you wear matching shirts.
They were too cute!

"Come on Grey, let's go dance!"

He wouldn't let go of her hand.

Just being Brody- content with his toys!

Rice cereal and sweet potatoes...yummy!

Brody will be 6 months old next Saturday and today he had his first taste of big boy food. He loved it! As usual he was pretty mellow about the whole thing, but gave some smiles to show his pleasure of the good stuff. Maddy insisted on eating her breakfast next to her brother. She was so excited that Brody was going to eat "real food", as she calls it. It was pretty cute.

Just getting started. I still have a clean face.

Mmmm..I like this stuff. Getting messier...

Summer is here!

So I made it!! I went back to work on April 13th, when Brods was three and a half months old. I knew I only had to get through eight weeks and summer would be here. And it is! I didn't realize that Maddy would be SO excited that I am done working. It is so cute. Tonight when putting her to bed I told her that tomorrow is Mommy's last day of work and only for three hours. She grinned from ear to ear. She said she wanted ice cream tomorrow and so we have a date at Swirlz right after I pick her up from Kelly's. Frozen yogurt for lunch??? Oh yes.... because SUMMER IS HERE!

I'm a big boy now!

Brody has been sitting up by himself now for the past week. I can't believe that this time has already come. He is such a big boy! The other night when I went to check on him after he went to sleep, he was sleeping on his stomach! What? My baby rolls over now in his sleep and sleeps on his stomach. I instantly knew he isn't my little baby anymore. He is growing up so fast. We are having so much fun with him. We leave for Hawaii in a week and it will be so fun now that he can sit in the sand and play.

Sitting all by himself staring at camera!

Almost ready to fall over.

WHY??

I knew the time would come with how much talking Maddy does...and it finally has. Why mommy? But why?? Her favorite thing to ask these days is why??? Then when you answer, she will ask again but why? Why are you cutting that mommy? Because I am making dinner. Why are you making dinner? Because we are hungry. Why are you hungry? And it goes on and on. It is so cute (even when it is tiring) because I can just see her little brain turning and growing. I love her so much!

On Saturday night we went to our friends, the Hogans, house for a great barbeque dinner. We joined the Walzs, Sumners, Hogans and Joudis. It was a great time watching eight kids under the age of three run around and play. The highlight of the evening was for everyone to meet baby Gianna. She was an angel all night and slept in her mommy's arms. We always have a great time with our good friends. We feel so lucky that our kids get to grow up with our best friends' kids.

Baby rolls....

...there isn't anything better!

My future is so bright...I gotta wear shades

Maddy is really digging her new sunglasses. She wears them constantly. I mean the WHOLE time at the beach, she didn't take them off. When she was little I worked really hard on getting her to keeps bows, headbands, hats, etc. in her hair and it took a little coaxing. This was another story. Sometimes I have to tell her to take them off because she would wear them all the time.

Brody's 1st time in the pool!

Brods went in the pool for the first time on Memorial Day. We had been to the pool a couple of times the past month, but he had been sleeping in the stroller and so I didn't wake him to put him in. So this was his official first time in a pool. We were at Auntie Bri and Uncle Geoff's pool for a BBQ. It is not surprising that Brody didn't care one way or another about the pool. He smiled and hung out. He is such a mellow kid. I wonder if this is how his personality will always be or if it will change. We will see. He was rockin his new boardshorts and looked pretty stinkin cute!
Maddy and Grey had a fun time in the pool too, as always. Mad is getting braver and jumping off the side into Daddy's arms. After lots of swimming, it was time for a snack in the chair, together of course.
