Maddy LOVES her brother and he loves her too. She loves to get in his crib with him and turn on his mobile for him. The other day I captured some cute photos of them. I hope they always LoVe eachother as much as they do now! :) Although I am sure during those teenager years, it won't be the case. At least I can look back at these pictures and smile.

Big Boy Brods

Our little guy is 5 months old already. Where does the time go? Mike and I can't believe how much faster it flies by with your second child. He is not so little either. Wherever we go people tell me that he is a "big boy". And he is. At 4 months old he weighed 16.7 pounds. When Maddy was one year old, she weighed 19.9 pounds. He has got some cheeks on him that I love to kiss all day long. His big blue eyes are beautiful and we have another bald baby! I guess Mike and I only have bald babies. He talks all the time and rolls over both ways. He can't keep his hands out of his mouth and he LOVES his big sister. Brody has been the easiest baby too! We are having so much fun with our two little babes.

Watch out people- Mad is on the road!
Lately Maddy loves to pretend to drive my car. When we pull in at home after I unbuckle her from her carseat, she climbs in to the front seat, pretends to put on her seatbelt, gets the keys from me and pretends to drive. It is too cute. She makes me sit in the passenger seat and close the door. While Brody is still in his car seat in the back, she looks back in the mirror and says, "Ready Brods?" She will look at herself in the mirror and say "All set Mommy". I swear, where does she get this stuff? She will then proceed to tell me that she is going to the market to get some food, or lately she has been "driving" Brody to the park. We love our little girl and her amazing, imaginative mind.

Over the weekend she got a "new pink car" as she calls it from her friend Blake. It was a fabulous hand-me down from his cousin (Thanks V) and Maddy loves it. She now drives all around the street, filling up her gas tank and parking her car to get some chicken at the market. Fun times!
I am already a blog slacker!
I started this blog over the weekend and still haven't been on to update. AAHH! I knew it would be time consuming. Once summer is here I will be so much better at posting. I know, I know -excuses. Really though, I can get a lot done during naptime. :) Only 13 more school days left and summer is here. I am so ready for beach days, our Hawaii vacation, playdates (for Mad, Brody and myself) and all the fun to come! Hurry up summer- we are ready!

Our Blog is Born!
Finally! It has been a long time coming and I finally did it. The main reason I hadn't started a blog yet was because of the time I thought it would take to get it started and keep it going. And I was right about the time it takes to get it started- wow! After numerous phone calls to my sister I think I finally have this blog thing down, well maybe. As far as keeping it going, time will tell. I am going to do my best to keep it going so that we can look back one day and have these special moments in our lives documented. I want to remember the everyday moments, the funny things Maddy says, and that Brody will say. So here it is- this is a blog about us and our exciting, busy, fun life that includes, Mike, myself, our spunky two year old, Maddy, our mellow 5 month old, Brody, and our four year old Golden Retriever, Dakota. Hope you enjoy following the Shwam Fam!
